I just bought this to take over for our soon-to-be adopted infant. I was very happy with the small size and weight (perfect for an infant to hold). But most of all, the sound quality is fantastic (and not too loud) – and not electronic sounding at all. And the tunes are all pleasing to the ear and not annoying kid versions. I will like listening to it as much as our son!

I love this toy and will give it to every new parent that I know! This is the only toy with sound that we own that does not have clear packing tape on the speaker! (Every other toy gets the “tape treatment” once it enters the house!) Music quality is great and the songs play for longer than most toys, so you don’t have to reach over and hit the button as often!

My Daughter picked this toy out @ Wal-Mart, among a few other toys herself!! When I originally bought it, she was only 3 months old!!!!

We moved the end of October and lost it in the move. I ordered it online and when it arrived, her eyes lit up and she fell in love with it all over again!!! It calms her down peacefully. I strongly recomend this for every parent out there.

I have a 10 month old daughter, and she has fallen in love with this toy. I bought this because of its portability and size, but the small package has delivered so much more.

The sound from the single speaker on the back of the ‘Takealong Tunes’ is extremely solid for such a small speaker, not tinny or hollow what so ever. The lights move in time to the music, and the whole thing is light enough for her to easily carry in one hand while she crawls around the house.

The large button-like wheel on the front is extremely easy for her to push, with just enough resistance that it isn’t going off incessantly, and the colorful caterpillar handle is a natural draw to her mouth. The only minor complaint I would have is that I wish the handle were rubberized instead of hard plastic since it is in her mouth so often.

I thought I was buying a good sound & lights toy for the portability since it is not always easy to drag larger flashing, blinking, booping toys around with us, but I feel like I’ve gotten so much more out of this potent little package.

It sooths her when she’s tired, entertains her when she’s awake, and has become her best friend over the past month or so.

I would highly recommend this to any parent, another winner from Baby Einstein!

I purchased the Take-Along-Tunes for my 2-month old grandaughter. It is a quick diversion with lights flashing & beautiful “tunes”. I wish each melody was a bit longer and the toy had a “continuous/loop” mode. My one-yr-old grandaughter likes it too – and she can push the buttons to keep the music going, but even she finds the melodies to go by too quickly to keep her entertained.

A mom in my group had a similar one of these for her baby who just loved it. So when we were walking through the baby aisles at Target, we saw this one and just put it in the stroller with our baby to see if he would like it–and he played with it the entire time! So, of course, we bought it!

He has many other rattle-type toys meant for grabbing, but this is the first one he has actually grabbed on to and played with. It is very sturdy and actually a little heavier than I anticipated by just looking at it–I was worried it might be too heavy for him to pick up (since we had never really seen him pick up anything before) but he manages with no problems!

My twin 9-month olds, like all babies of that age, love to show when they’re displeased by throwing something. When they try that with the Bendy Ball, most of the time they forget why they got upset.

This cute thing can be bent while holding and you can put your fingers inside it. Plus the ball inside that you can’t quite get out has a little ball inside it that sounds like a bell almost. If you want to throw it to show your displeasure at something, you’ll end up putting your fingers into it first. Those distractions are priceless.

By the time baby finally rolls this ball, it is with a positive frame of mind, and she wants it back to try again.

I can see that this durable little toy is going to be used in many ways and constantly. It’s a lot of fun to roll their way and see how they try to figure out what to do with it.

Beyond that, the colors are great. The 5 outer caterpillar parts on diameter are cute. I think this is an educational toy that teaches about hand manipulation.

I like this toy because my almost 6-month old son can easily grab and hold on to it. However, he’s at the stage where he wants to put everything in his mouth, and he tends to get frustrated becaues this doesn’t really lend itself to being chewed on. I think he’ll like it more when he can play with it like a ball, rather than trying to use it as a teether.

Oball makes balls similar to this one and our children love them. They even make the baby version with a rattle inside. My children prefer the regular without the rattle and it will be played with for years rather than as a baby toy that will soon be forgotten. My kids put small stuffed animals inside the ball and roll them around the room. They are also easy for little fingers to hang on to. Get the Oball! Skip this one. This ball has that smiley face thing that makes the ball roll less smoothly across the floor.

Baby likes this but I do question safety given all the interior screws which you can easily see. If one comes lose and you don’t realize it, baby may swallow it. It is not really bendy (have to be really strong to push it in) and should have a hook or some way to attach to stroller or seat because it quickly falls out of little hands. It is a nice concept, just needs some changes, especially with the screws! Also, not sure if this is BPA free or not.
