Traditional milk bottle and nipple sterlizing for babies in India?

Question by ckc: Traditional milk bottle and nipple sterlizing for babies in India?
The traditional way is to place the plastic milk bottle and nipple in a steel container with water and boil the water to sterilize the bottles. However, my question is when the plastic bottles are heated to the boiling point of water or when in the steel vessel and the bottle touches the sides, with that heat could there be a plastic intoxication?? I think this procedure is followed by every one but, I am just curious, when just the toys which the children play could cause various intoxications, can that crude sterilizong way not do any harm??? Please help me with this question. Thank you in advance…
