This is a stupid question, but does a female goat need to be pregnant to produce milk or do female goats just naturally produce milk? Thanks.
I have a bottle baby. She’s ussually under my feet!! =D
Daniel, what is your recommendation for easing the kids back into the heard? Thank you!
You can freeze the colostrum for future bottle babies. Also, they will not stop eating, it is very easy to create a problem with enterotoxemia by over-feedingbottle babies.
could a person freeze the colostrum for future bottle feeding?
she wont make a “superior milk goat” just because they are bottle fed! And feeding five times a day is crazy….unless you have nothing else to do. i start mine out three times a day
No they will not stop drinking when their full. You need to measure. Their is a LOT to bottle feeding them! They shouldn’t be drinking with their head sideways either, but straight ahead instead.
will the kids stop eating when their full or do you have to measure the milk so they dont over-eat?
Have her to hold the bottle so that the baby is reaching. It is much easier for them to drink that way. I raise Toggs.
