Contrary to popular belief, pediatricians nowadays will tell you to start your baby on a vegetable puree. If you start them on fruits they can develop a sweetness craving right away and reject the vegetables later. Whether you create natural vegetable purees at home or buy them in the market, the feeding process is still pretty much the same.Love it? Hate it? Like it? Know how to do it better? @cluelessfather We’ve just been using the Cuisinart food processor we got as a wedding gift. It works great! I’ve heard you can use a blender or hand mixer as long as the food you are pureeing is soft enough (just cook it before to soften it). Let me know what you go with and how it works!
@LadybugGirlShow Yo! We started solids at the end of 4 months as our pediatrician pointed out it would help keep throw up from happening. We had already started on the Gerber fruit juices based off the advice of a friend and the doc was like whhhooooaohhhhhh nelly. So we switched everything over to veggies. My wife and I want to start making her food at home from organic veggies. Is there a machine you recommend?
@noursette29 Thank you! She is like a little Amelie. Very mischievous as well but loves to play!
Nice tutorial here. We started our baby on fruit first too and had to backtrack a bit later. She likes some vegetables (like sweet potatoes, green beans and peas) but she’d rather have fruit. I’ve found mixing other veggies with the sweet potatoes works pretty good. She was loving that food!! She totally wanted control over the spoon too. When did you start solids? We were told to wait until 6 mo. but she was VERY interested in our food so we started around 5 mo. (but still breastfed also)
hehe this video made me giggle, she’s such a bundle of cuteness!
