Burt’s Bees has some good stuff. We use their baby wash/shampoo. It’s gentle and it smells really good. For sunscreen and diaper rash treatment, we use California Baby. Those are great.

I really like the Arbonne (sp?) products and they always get really good reviews, but they’re pretty expensive. I tried the California baby and didn’t like the way it smelled.

I haven’t used any lotions – just thougth that it was extra unnecessary chemicals (plus they put everything in their mouth!).

Using cloth diapers, I haven’t needed any diaper cream.

I used long sleeved shirts and pants and hats instead of sunscreen.

Johnson & Johnson are not natural. They contain many carcinogens. Melaluca has great products. Our local grocery store, loblaws sells some natural products too. They can be a little pricey, but shampoo lasts my two girls, literally six months. I use a vegetable based soap on them.

I love California Baby products. They smell so good. Burt’s Bees is great as well, and I like Dr Bronner’s soap.

For diapers, I love plain old cotton prefolds with a waterproof wrap or a homemade wool soaker. I don’t need fancy diapers, but it’s nice to have a few BumGenius pockets for going out.

Johnson & Johnson’s isn’t natural. And Burt’s Bees products don’t have very high rankings in the cosmetic safety database.

Use this to search for safe brands!
