@XxDarkDelightxX The idea that natural is better is a fallacy. The FDA has no definition for the terms “organic” or “natural”. “Organic” ingredient growers are certified by the USDA, and there is no further testing or enforcement unless someone complains. The products that use them do not undergo extra testing, and plant products often contain unpredictable levels of various substances. That means in some cases they are less safe than man-made ingredients.

@bobnfreely They do go through extra testing. 2 be organic it HAS 2 be tested 2 see if it came from plants that were not grown w/ chemicals. If the testing shows chemicals that r not from plant compounds it CANNOT be labeled 100% organic. Some companies DO get away w/ not organic products that r labeled so bc they put the percentage of organic ingredients on the label. & mainstream baby products have human carcinogens, parabens & toxic chemicals in them if u read the label. Research ingredients!

Thanks for keeping the discussion honest.

I like the idea of leaving out colors and perfumes, but the claim that organic ingredients are somehow safer than manufactured ingredients is iffy at best. The truth is that products labeled as “organic” or “natural” don’t have to undergo any extra testing beyond what other products on the market go through to ensure safety.
