Question by Annick: What happens when you give a baby one day old formula that was reheated?
My boyfriend didn’t read the instructions and he happened to give my 3 weeks old baby old formula. I had used it last night but he didn’t finish it off. My boyfriend put it back in the fridge, reheated it and gave it to him tonight.. I was wondering if it was going to make him ill?

It might give him a slight stomach ache, but that’s probably about it… if it even does that. I’ve accidentally gave my son old formula before and he never acted any different. Just watch him for a little while, he might need a little more comforting tonight then he normally would but I’m sure he will be fine!
It should be fine, I wouldn’t do it all the time though because bacteria can grow even in the fridge. I wouldn’t think anything would happen though!
gets cancer. you should feed your baby from your breasts not the industrial produce made by the machine and reheated by the machine. They feed until they are about 2 or 3 so yea what more important a silly social norm of not feeding them cause boobs are for sex or your child’s health.
It might. Make sure from now on that old formula gets dumped.
the baby will probably get a tummy ache and maybe throw it back up but if it was left in the fridge it might not do anything since it had stayed cold. I think the baby will be fine.
it may give your baby a tummy ache, but it shouldn’t harm your baby unless it was out all night and then reheated. your baby should be fine. a good web site for new mothers or just questions in generaly about your baby or anything that you can do is http://www.babycenter.com. there is advice there from mothers and doctors. there is a lot of neat stuff on there.. hope i helped
It might. Same idea as if you ate food that had been reheaded twice. I’m sure it wont cause any lasting harm even if he does happen to vomit. Good luck!
