Question by Landon and Gage 5/19/10: Any extra special ideas for a twin baby shower?
I am having twin boys. Does anyone have any ideas to make my shower different than others? I want to thank the guests as much as possible since obviously with twins I have to register for a lot of doubles and it gets pricey for people. Thanks!
dontchaw: I don’t expect anyone to do anything! I am not registering for a lot due to the fact that we are having twins! My husband and I are already buying things and we will buy all of the really pricey items. If you didn’t have any ideas for the question then why did you answer it? Geez

project nursery has some amazing shower ideas, and a few especially for twins/ multiples, I’d take a look at what they can suggest.

I’m actually a little anti-games at a shower b/c they can often be distasteful/tacky and people want to chat with other guests than play a game. So instead of a real game, you can give prizes to those who have a birthday, anniversary closest to your due date, or someone else who is a twin or has twins. Because you’re having twins, that in lieu of the everything is better in twos, have 2 winners for each category and give a $10 or $15 gift certificate to starbucks/barnes and noble/target, etc. People will appreciate that…One person cannot win 2x though so it would just be the next closest person.
The only OTHER game I have played that was fun, was wrap a really nice gift per table. So 5 tables means you need 5 nice gifts! Everyone at the table will pass it to the next person when the word “cute” is said while you open gifts The last person at the table who has it, gets it. Make sure it’s wrapped so no one knows what it is!
Or buy really nice favors to hand out, like a pretty silver pen and stationary set.
i dont have any special ideas just a thought. dont expect people to buy double just be thankful for anything they give you. especially with this economy and enjoy it
