Question by Stacey: Buying an Ergo baby carrier…is it worth it to buy organic?
I am buying an ergo baby carrier. Since I have to buy it online and can’t see in person, I was wondering if the organic fabric is worth the extra money??? Is it softer???
Thank you for your responses. I will order my regular Ergo baby (from myfavoritebabycarrier.com) along with the regular infant insert AND I will definitely order the sucking pads too!! Thanks again!!

Buying organic fabrics is friendlier to the environment, but I don’t think it is any softer than normal… my son has had a few organic clothes and there was no noticeable difference. The extra money is basically the difference between supporting the environment and destroying it.
What do you think? Answer below!

I bought mine at a store where the organic ones were not sold. The regular non-organic one is great…I wouldn’t personally go the extra mile for the organic one…but I will tell you this…the sucking pads are a God send. My son who is now 10 months still puts them in his mouth. All I have to do is unvelcro them and throw them in the wash.

Generally, organic fabrics are softer. I have noticed this with many items. I have the original Ergo so I don’t know what the organic one is like. If you email this website http://myfavoritebabycarrier.com/ they will help you ans can answer ALL your questions. I had a few Q’s about it and they got back to me right away and were very knowledgeable. I also ended up ordering from this site because they had a 100% guarantee…not that I needed it- I LOVE the ERGO.
Also, like Deans had mentioned, the teething pads are worth it! Otherwise you will be washing your Ergo a lot which you are not supposed to.
Softer: no. It would offer absolutely no benefit to your baby. Even the ‘friendlier on the earth’ argument is negligible given the more labour-intensive methods used for organic crops.
The regular one was easily the best baby/toddler item I bought…
I third the recommendation to pick up a pair of sucking pads. The little pouch that velcros on to the front is a nice addition, too; it holds a diaper or two and a wallet quite nicely.
