Runny or mustardy, probably yellow in colour if you are breast feeding. The first poo he had would have been nearly black in colour, but you shouldn’t see that again.
    :D

for about the first two weeks it should be tar black then slowly begin to change lighter to a yellow to brown color depending on the formula.

Their first poo is black called Meconium or something like that. They have been saving it for 9mos after all. After that, if you are breastfeeding like you should, then they are a dark yellow kinda like mustard. Get used to it. It shouldn’t really stink until they are eating real foods.

its supposed to ba greenish brownish
    and runny

  5. Rocky Raccoon says:

The first stool is meconium and that is a black color. After that, the stool is usually a mustard yellow but if there is a bit of meconium in the gut it could look greenish.

That is what the color could be at one week of age, but as time goes on the stool will transition as the diet of the baby changes.

i keep seeing that it’s yellow if you’re breastfeeding well i’m strictly feeding bottle and her’s has always been yellow, the doc says its a good thing, it means her body has been absorbing milk properly.
