hot water and soap, then rinse
Dishwasher. If they’re not dishwasher safe, I’ll wipe them with a Clorox or Lysol wipe and let them air dry before giving them back to the baby.
Hot soapy water.
steam cleaner
if i can put them in the dishwasher, i do that…they will be sterile….if they can’t be put in the dishwasher, i wipe them off with antibacterial wipes then wipe with a paper towel…once its dry you can’t “taste” any of the antibacterialness…
i always washed my sons toys in with the dishes, pacifiers teething rings,,things like this and the other toys in the separate dish water…
a plain dish soap and water works well. rinse well after though.
I always used a little bleach and water then rinsed and air dried them. They now have anti bacterial dish soap ..wash and rinse and ari dry.
Soap & Hot water always works the best.
baby saliva
Wash the toys all you want but you’re still going to find your child teething on some furniture or a stick in the backyard or something.
All you can do is be sensible, wash things in soap and water, but don’t get paranoid about it.
put them in the dishwasher and run them through the “sanitize”cycle then just run it under hot water before giving it to baby just to be sure there is no residual cleaning agents on it.
with my first son i used to soak the rattles and stuff in a bucket of bleach once there dry they are allright, and for soft toys i just put them in the washing machine…..now that i have four kids i dont bother any more…lol…
There is a new cleaner out called lysol hard surface cleaner or clorox hard surface cleaner it is safe to use near food and on toys-it is a spray and you just wipe it off
Clorox wipes are fantastic. It disinfects and cleans in one.
Soap and water…..rinse, then thoroughly dry the toy before giving it to your kid.
Rubbing alcohol can also be used if there’s no time to clean the toy and it isn’t too dirty. Just wipe the toy clean after that to make sure there’s no alcohol residue.
Peace.
most day cares use bleach water but Ihave a hard time with that, I get bad chemical reactions when I use bleach to clean to I can imagine that it is no good for babies. I would use one or both of the following: either use one of those steam machines and steam and wipe clean or use a mild antibacterial dishwashing detergent and make sure to rinse well. Another option would be, if the toy can handle it, old fashioned boiling water.
clorox wipes, they contain no bleach and are used in schools and daycares across the country
With all the kids that I have – I’ve always just ran them through the dishwasher at night. Water temp’s high enough to kill the germs, and they rinse off enough.
clorox all over spray
if they can go into the dryer adter wipping them off put them in the dryer it will kill the germs, if you can soak them then wht Viniger
Sterilize: what you do to your first baby’s pacifier by boiling it and to your last baby’s pacifier by blowing on it.
(i hate pacifiers for kids, but you get the point.)
there is a new surface disenfectent spray out by clorox and you just spray it on whatever object you need to sanitize. It is safe for childrens toys, pacifiers, etc. If you want to lear more check out this site it has more info on that product.

Pampers makes a spray perfect for this. I used it for my son.- works great and made just for the little ones! Try going to meijer or walmart to find this.
AM a mother of 2 and i have always trusted Lysol spray.
1 part bleach and 4 parts water…srapy it down with that and then dunk it in water a few times!!!
Our doctor’s office used a mixture of Listerine and water in a spray bottle. Listerine is an antiseptic and it is non-toxic.
