Anyone know where I can donate baby formula and other baby items?

Question by Nonexistent: Anyone know where I can donate baby formula and other baby items?
I’ve been looking for a website or something that would allow me to donate baby formula, bibs, diapers, clothes, and any other baby-related items. I have tons that I bought and never gave to people, have and didn’t use for my son, and received as gifts and samples and could not use. Any help is very much appreciated!

You can join freecycle.com. It is a yahoo group that connects people who have stuff to give away with people who want the items. They even pick it up.
There should be one in your local area.

Get in touch with a local food bank, they are ALWAYS asking for baby foods and products

  2. Denette says:

I would just bring the formula to a food bank. The other stuff can go to any donation bin… Goodwill, etc.

  3. Stacy K says:

For the baby formula and food, drop it off at that box in the grocery stores for the food bank. You have no idea HOW MANY parents of babies need that kind of stuff!! For the clothes and that, there should be donation containers around town where you can drop off clothing, toys, books, etc. So they can be delivered to the second-hand stores.

You can help out women’s shelters or homeless shelters. Churches and other charitable agencies in your own area will be the best place to connect.

I’m assuming the formula is still good…not yet expired. Your local food shelf would be more than happy to take it. Wearable items can go to your good will or salvation army. In my area…the salvation army has a food shelf and a used clothing/furniture store.

Formula is so expensive and the food shelf in your area gets info on families that are still in need of formula and such. OH…most food shelves are happy to take diapers, too. My job encourages lotions, bath items, paper products…everything during the food drives that we hold a couple times a year.

Good luck! You’ll make someone very happy!!!

Check with your local Social Services office or women’s health center. Local homeless shelters, food banks and churches are also good choices. God bless you for wanting to help others.

I am sure if you taking it to your local shelters they will be very much appriciated
or you can out an add in the paper
the people in needs probably don’t have internet
so a website will probably not much good

hook me up no kidding how nice of you!! charities and a lot of churches will accept these items ! God bless you’re generosity!!

  10. Life is Precious says:

Try a local crisis pregnancy center. Many of them have programs that will get these items to teen or moms in need!

  11. its about time says:

The majority of shelters would be thrilled to have them. Many times new moms need help and these shelters have ways of contacting those moms to get them the supplies. Also, you may want to check with local churches…many times the pastors know of local women who may need the supplies you have.
