Question by Kaylyn: Does my dog know the differences between her toys and My babies?
My dog Miley keeps eating the babies toys and binkies. Does she know the different between her toys and my daughters? Is it possible to train her to know the difference? Any idea would help thanks.

No, she probably doesn’t care either, dogs like to play with anything they find. You should keep your baby’s toys away from the dog where she can’t reach it.

You should reword your original question. I was thinking that your dog was chewing on its toys and then also chewing on your babies….

And I think it would be something you would have to train the dog on. Try to get very differentiating toys so it is simpler for the dog to tell the difference. (training will still be necessary)

I don’t think it would be very likely that you could show the dog a toy she’d never seen before and have her know whether it was hers or not. However, it is very easy to train a dog to recognize her own toys (my dog can fetch 15-20 specific toys when I ask for them by name) and with more work it’s possible to train her to leave everything that’s not hers along. A firm “no” “off” or “leave it” (depending on what command you use) followed by redirecting her attention to an appropriate toy should help her get the idea. It will require you to stay on top of things, though, so she can learn what’s okay and what isn’t.

    nope
    maybe with training
easier to keep the baby’s toys out of reach and supervise when they are

Don’t underestimate your dog as stupid, they are quite sensitive and can distinguish an alive subject. He never takes a baby as his toy. Your baby could raise his envy that may be harmful so when you show your affection to your baby show affection to your dog also same time. let him sit by your baby when you are on the spot. Let your dog take the baby as his friend. Dod in general loves baby and becomes a protector.
