How to prepare a baby’s bottle formula feed by Mother & Baby TV

Making up a bottle feed correctly is important for your baby’s health. Our easy step-by-step guide should answer all your questions and give you that extra reassurance. As far as bonding goes, bottle-feeding mothers can revel in the same close contact as their breastfeeding friends. In many ways, you’re actually better placed to give your baby 100% of your relaxed attention without any stresses over sore nipples, latching on or whether your newborn is taking on enough milk. So here’s our no-nonsense guide to getting bottle feeding right for your baby. You will need: At least six bottles and 10 teats (teats have a habit of getting lost, and should be replaced regularly anyway). Formula powder. It can be an idea to practise making up a feed in advance, before your baby’s screaming with hunger and you’re all fingers and thumbs. – A clean, descaled kettle. 9 methods of safe bottle feeding By midwife Janet Fyle 1. The water must be actually boiling when it is mixed with the powder. Never mix cooled boiled water with the powdered formula as the powder itself is not sterile, so neither will the feed be. If you’re away from home, take a flask of hot boiled water with you and mix while still hot. Ready-mix cartons are another option. 2. If you’re making up several feeds in advance, mix the milk with boiling water then cool down the mixed feed as fast as possible. Store in the fridge for no more than 24 hours. Never leave a feed standing around at room temperature. 3. Always follow

Microwave oven, The Hidden Hazards. Recent research shows that microwave oven-cooked food suffers severe molecular damage. When eaten, it causes abnormal changes in human blood and immune systems. Not surprisingly, the public has been denied details on these significant health dangers. Technology holds great promise when developed, promoted and used by ethical individuals and institutions. Harmful or immorally utilized technologies should spur us to take action to set things right. To that end, we share this information. The purpose of this report is to show proof – evidence – that microwave cooking is not natural, nor healthy, and is far more dangerous to the human body than anyone could imagine. However, the microwave oven manufacturers, Washington City politics, and plain old human nature are suppressing the facts and evidence. Because of this, people are continuing to microwave their food – in blissful ignorance – without knowing the effects and danger of doing so. Microwaves unsafe for baby’s milk. “Microwaving baby formulas converted certain trans-amino acids into their synthetic cis-isomers. Synthetic isomers, whether cis-amino acids or trans-fatty acids, are not biologically active. Further, one of the amino acids, L-proline, was converted to its d-isomer, which is known to be neurotoxic (poisonous to the nervous system) and nephrotoxic (poisonous to the kidneys). It’s bad enough that many babies are not nursed, but now they are given fake milk (baby formula) made

This was some of the worst pseudo science I heard in quite some time. As another commentator said, microwaves charge water molecules, they start moving, through the moving rub against other molecules and this produces heat. That’s all.

  12. heathdwatts says:

This is of course, nonsense. Microwave radiation excites water molecules in the food; it does not break chemical bonds. Anyone with a high school knowledge of physics should know this. Your video is silly nonsense, comparable with belief in aliens and unicorns.

Its too late now, the microwave has alrady fucked u…

  14. musicalrt says:

the real risks of microwave ovens are putting non-microwave safe containers and items into the microwave. (certain plastics, metals). Always ensure that you use microwave safe materials.

do some research on microwave ovens if you really wish to know more.

    (part 2)

i got my numbers mixed up last comment.. Microwaves in a microwave oven are actually generated at a frequency of 2450 million cycles per second, which inverts the polarity 4900 times per second.

This constant change of polarity is comparable to having a lot of people in a small room walking around at any direction they pleased… This would cause agitation, energy and friction.

    This friction generates heat…

  16. musicalrt says:

    This is pseudo-science at it’s very best…

Microwaves are a part of the electromagnetic spectrum. They are a form of non-ionizing radiation (meaning that they operate on the lower end of frequencies and wavelengths). Microwaves (in an oven, which are generated by the magnetron) penetrate the outer food layer and each cycle causes the food molecules to change polarity (negative, or positive charge) twice. As microwaves are at a frequency of 4500 million cycles per second, the polarity within

microwave ovens have always scared me.

  18. memberHD says:

Stupid fucks microwaves simple cause water molecules to vibrate, thus generating heat and cooking food.

The problem with warming blood should be obvious….some parts of the blood will be overheated and then that heat transfer into the surrounding blood. As blood is a living thing this would obviously have devastating effects to the ‘hot’ spots

Great, more of the Norma Levitt lie. Norma Levitt died on the operating table. Her family sued, saying microwaved blood killed her. THAT part is true. The part this cop-and-pasted rehash doesn’t mention is that the family LOST the case, as the jury rejected the claim of death by microwaved blood. They found she died from a blood clot. But hey, never let the TRUTH get in the way of passing around an urban legend.

Don’t rely on Google’d pictures of unknown purpose, experiment yourself!
I planted lentils from a package in wet cotton. One vessel wet with boiled water, the other microwaved for 1.5min in full power. Today, day 3 of the experiment the seeds in the two vessels have EXACTLY THE SAME GROWTH. Waiting for full leaves to develop to see if there will be any difference at all.
Sorry techno-freaked out guys, I see that “nuked” water is just fine.
If you have any doubt then EXPERIMENT YOURSELF!

Google Microwave water and find the plant pics that are out there. You can also heat water in a microwave and cool it then water 5 seeds and compare it to 5 seeds watered with water boiled and cooled on the stove. The microwave water cannot enrich the seeds well and they are stunted.

i beleive JCYK90 that you will find that people who are against raw food enthusiasts are often busy microwaving nature freaks.

It’s not that hard to get people, think about the food and your body. think about it. your changing complexities in the food with sudden super fast vibration of particles, thus affecting enzymes, amino acids, fats, fibers and tissues of the food, etc
Always waiting for the scientific proof, where is it? It’s out there but your not gonna get to see or understand it. There’s scientific proof, but it’s not gonna be front page headlines cause it’s locked up somewhere. Your not gonna see it.

shut the fuck up “cunt” was I talking/being an asshole to you? , I, and I said they dont give a shit about us,, not that I want them to be my nanny,, what the fuck is up with all these people on youtube just like you, that like to come up with ridulous assumptions and act like little bitch assholes for no reason,,

  30. DairyNZ says:

Hence the use of parentheses. The round brackets indicating a “text injection”. Secondly the use of “,” before the word “and” is unnecessary and poor grammar. But let’s not split hairs (metaphor). Glad I could help!

  31. Eyedunno says:

First off, “,” is a comma and not a fullstop, and you used it incorrectly. Glad I could help.

And yes, cooking food by any means changes it chemically. That’s part of the point of cooking food.

However, humans have been cooking food for millennia, and raw food carries a far greater risk of food poisoning.

Personally, I’d rather not be a paranoid hypochondriac. I’ll eat raw food when it tastes better (broccoli, spinach, sashimi), and cooked food when that tastes better (hamburgers, etc.).
