What size baby diaper should I get for my dog?

Question by Alex: What size baby diaper should I get for my dog?
I have a 14 y.o. Pomeranian (7lb, 15″ around belly) who’s a bit incontinent in her sleep. =( Doggie diapers are ridiculously expensive at Petco n such. I’ve seen online how baby diapers can be adapted to be used for dogs, but I have no idea how the sizes would translate nor what particular brand/kind would be a better choice.
Anyone out there with first hand knowledge of these things?
Thanks in advance.

  1. *~ATL Braves Baby Girl~* says:

They make doggy diapers for a reason. If you can’t afford them, then don’t use any.

infant diapers cannot go on a dog… Where would the dog’s tail go???

hmmm,…take her to petsmart or petorama.-and btw, they can give your dogs rashes

  3. ♥shelter puppies rule♥ says:

instead of diapers, you should put an old plastic table cloth on her bed in her crate (or where ever she sleeps). diapers can cause urinary tract infections, especially with a senior dog.

  4. Frazzle Razzle Knows says:

You can’t use *human* baby diapers.
Pomeranians have such thick fur that cutting out a whole for their tail is hard and uncomfortable.

    Try ebay

  5. Megan says:

They make cloth panty things for dogs that you can put pantyliners in. That way you just have to buy pads and not replace the diaper.

  6. Norma Schneider says:

Newborn diapers with a tail hole cut out will work.
