@ShadowChanceSassy Actually, Yes, it does matter which way you wipe for girls. It’s very important you wipe front to back to prevent UTI’s.
@AwakeningTheRunes, I suspect she mentioned placement because of current diaper design. Most diapers have the absorbent layer running up-down and not all the way to the edges. The edge portion is thinner and less bulky. I surmise she is placing his penis the way the absorbent layer runs in order to minimize leaks.

I am 5 days until my due date with a little boy. This video helped alot but I do have one question. Being as I am a women, I dont get why it matters which way his penis is facing. I tried asking my fiance, he wasnt sure either (some help soon to be dad!) so I thought Id ask. Why does it matter which way it faces and should it face up or down?

If you use more then one diaper wipe while cleaning them, for either a boy or girl, it doesn’t matter if it’s front to back or back to front. And you don’t have to be afraid to say “penis” when it comes to discussing about changing diapers. And for all immature and rude comments she is not molesting him by wiping and cleaning his penis, nor pointing his penis downwards when putting his new diaper on. That’s part of the job when it comes to parenting. All of you need to grow up and be mature.
@strollertwinbaby you get used to it. I learned when I was 5 and have been babysitting young ones since I was 11. it’s only hard for a squirmy one (babies who are able to turn or like to crawl). but like i said, after a few times, you get used to how the baby reacts when changing him/her.
