I once had a friend send out diapers with the information inside. It can be costly though.
Another option is to buy a pink bottle and send it like a message in the bottle–you can usually just send it without wrapping it if you put the address clearly on the outside.

Well my friend did something really cute and I thought it was a great memory of the shower and of the baby…. she took a sonogram picture and put it on the front of every invite, and then inside there was all the info. for the event, but it was cute becuase they writing and saying were coming from the child (that has not been born yet) saying “even though Im not here yet, I would like it very much if you could come and visit my Mommy” etc…) it was absolutely adorable, I hope this helps. Good Luck.
There are so many ideas out there. Do you have a craft store near by? Like Michaels, or Archivers for scrapbooking? They have so many different types of paper, scissors, buttons, stickers, embelishments, etc etc etc…. One step in there and you’ll think of something! If you want to do something more yourself, what about cutting out booties or bottle shapes and writing the shower info on that?
Print off cute little invitations and wrap them up like a scroll around baby rattles, the little chew keys, and so on……..that way the invited guests can give them to the mom to be………maybe even use them in place of bows on the presents.
my sister in law made mine homemade… she put ribbons and found little feet and hands.. if you want the poem that went along with it email me
Go with E-vite. Start a baby registry if she hasn’t done so yet. Make sure you mention that in the invite. If she’s working let people at her work know about this baby registry, you’ll be surprise how many gift will be pouring in.
A surprise party is the best. I hosted one with the help of my friend’s husband and her best friend and it’s really fun and exciting! Have fun!
me and my mom made my invitations.
they were in the shape of baby diapers. in the middle we used a saftey pin to hold the diaper together and tied a small string with a card on the end that had the info
good luck and congradulations
You should do something distinctive and new. How about mailing everyone a onesie with a request to decorate it prior to the shower?? Instructions on how to decorate the onesie on one side…..the shower details on the other side (use cardstock shaped like a onesie and pin it to the actual onesie with a diaper pin). If you roll these up it should only be about 78cents to mail in a padded manilla envelope!!
If that is beyond your budget…..how about getting some cardstock and creating your own on a computer?? Once again…..design the invite in the shape of something baby-ish (Bottle, Onesie, Teddy Bear).
Outside the box is always nice and refreshing….especially at the height of baby shower season!!
