Question by Chris: Does anyone know where I can get cheap bedding in Vancouver?
I have just moved to Vancouver and am looking to get set up. Have a mattress and stuff so am really just looking for somewhere I can buy bed sheets and duvet, etc for as cheap as possible. Don’t have access to a car as of yet so preferably somewhere I can get to via public transport.
I have also tried Ikea, Costco, and Craiglist, and nothing really suitable has come up…

i am not sure how much you want to spend but home sense (there are several around vancouver) has great deals on bedding … i bought a queen size sheet set for forty dollars and it was 800 thread count … i have also got great deals on bedding from ebay … i bought 1200 thread count egyptian cotton sheet set for 45 dollars including the shipping … you could also check out army and navy down on hastings …

I’d say Ikea has the cheapest duvets and their sheets are also well priced but they seem to sell only duvet covers and fitted sheets, which is how beds are done in Europe. Other places to shop for cheap bedding include Wal-mart(I know, there isn’t one in Vancouver but there are ones in Burnaby and Surrey; you didn’t say where in greater Vancouver you are), Zellers, Winners sometimes, Liquidation World. Ed’s Linens has a few locations around Vancouver. And if you want really really cheap, you can try the Salvation Army stores or Value Village.
There are places like Jysk, Home Sense, Zellers and ones like that might have some cheap bedding for you to be able to try.
