Should have bought one of the Colonel Sanders banks. Of interest is that the colonel actually lived for six months of the year only several miles from me here in Mississauga, Ontario. In the seventies, our Prime Minister declared that he wanted American companies who wished to expand into Canada to show good faith by having some of their senior people actually live here in Canada. The colonel took him up on the challenge and moved here. He became an active member of Applewood United Church, and at his death, he left a substanital bequest to the local Trillium health centre. Shortly before he died, he gave an interview to one of our local journalists and stated that he had conquered his vices of drinkin’ and smokin’, but that he just couldn’t give up the cussin’. To the end, he always wore the white suit and the Kentucky colonel tie.
