Some cool cotton baby clothes images:

i started out with the pattern for the "child’s placket sweater" from "last-minute knitted gifts", but i wanted to make the sweater machine washable, so i chose sierra cascade yarn (mostly cotton with a little merino), and these adorable orange hippo buttons i saw in the yarn shop. i knew i wanted to make it a cardigan instead of the original sweater, and i knew i would need a little bit of orange detail somewhere to go with the buttons, so i didn’t make any button holes along the way, and instead crocheted the little loop closures at the very end.
all in all, i’m very happy with the way this turned out. i’ve got enough yarn left over that i plan to make a matching hat.
