8 brands later, this is what we use and what works for us
Still loving cloth!!! (Bum Genius 4.0 snaps, Flip diaper with stay dry inserts)
A simple and quick review of the Imse Vimse Cloth Diaper Liner brought to you by www.clothbottom.com This ImseVimse liner is a must have for every cloth diapering mom. There are two sizes available, the toddler liners and the baby liner. The baby liner is almost exactly the same size as a sheet of letter paper. These are flushable when used and will also help reduce your staining in the cloth diaper. This Imse Vimse diaper liner is so simple I would recommend it to everyone, certainly to the Dads who think cloth diapers are too much work.

You hold it up so quickly (or else the camera jumps a bit at this point), but I can’t see the brand of the diaper liners you use. And you didn’t mention the name of the brand. Can you let us know what brand that is? They sound perfect! I’ve used some before but they were a little too soft and flimsy and didn’t work very well. Thanks in advance.
@suezq4369 No problem girl. I am glad everything is working better
@maeganhv06 I never have…I went with the flips instead of g-diapers.
@tigershoes100 Omg…duh! LoL I guess I figured she was still my little newborn, but now I’m using the large inserts (after u posted this, I went through them all, and adjusted the size and the inserts to the large ones) and no leaks! Thank you!!!!
@tigershoes100 Thanks for the tip!!
@lncmont2009 I use the 4.0 pocket diaper. All in ones are okay, but they take longer to dry….maybe try one of each? Everyone likes something different, and you never know what you’ll love until the time comes, and as the baby grows, sometimes you use different things. For example I loved fitted with covers as a newborn, and now use mainly pocket.
Which bum genius do u like??? 4.0? or elemental organic?? or which bum genius is your fav?
thanks im pregnant and looking for best diaper and sounds like these are great
thanks
Hello Your video is really helpful. I am new to cloth diapering and we’re looking at starting out with the gdiapers and flip diapers. I was wondering if you ever used the gdiapers or know someone who has.
Also with the fuzzibunz I always just use one insert (the large one). The elastic adjusts the rise of the diaper so that shouldn’t really make a huge difference regarding leaks. Your leg or hip snap might not be tight enough. I would try adjusting one more notch in if your still getting leaks. Also make sure your not using the newborn insert because using the small insert on the medium setting of the diaper can cause leaks too.
I dont know if anyone has mentioned this with the fuzzibunz regarding red marks. I used to have the same problem until I stopped tucking in the microfleece pocket flap that sticks out the back. Now I always pull the fleece out the back so it is between my sons skin and the elastic. I always thought this would cause wicking onto clothes so I never tried it until I saw a lot of moms doing this. That portion of fleece never gets wet anyway so never had wicking and it works wonderful.
@pyang264 WONDERFULLY. It’s our favorite diaper for poops. I’ll update on it soon!
@pyang264 We always change her every 1-2 hours.
And you just learn, like after she eats, she pees. And now we can tell when she’s pooping, so we change her right away. I like to keep her dry and never have diaper rash issues!
@pyang264 I sold my BB, that’s how much we didn’t like them. LOVE the flip
@vicsterrrful Aw, thank you!!!!!
That’s so sweet!!!
@hummingbird3981 Flip feels slightly wet and only wicks away some moisture. It’s not like a pocket in that sense. I’ll try that with the back, and we ended up letting the elastic out. Still have occasional leaks though. It’s just a stay at home diaper and not a go to if we’re out and about. I do not want leaks and clothing changes when we’re out if possible, so it’s not my favorite go to diaper.
@mrsstk I already sold them on ebay, sorry….
@mamikohh We have one rumparooz, and I haven’t reviewed it because I keep hoping as she gets bigger I will like it, but it’s just okay. We hardly ever use it. I love the cute prints, and it doesn’t leak, but it’s very bulky on her. And with only one insert, it leaked. So we use both inserts it comes with if we do use it at all. I do own FB now. Never tried Charlie banana, but I heard they are replicas of each other. I’ll pull out my rumparooz and give a review soon, and FB as well.
@rachg09890 Very, they fit the same as the Bum Genius (same company) but the inserts are wide, but thin. On a small baby you fold the insert in the front, so her tummy has a thicker part by her waist. But the inserts fit birth to potty training, so once she’s older, I will no longer need to fold them. They’re marked small medium and large, with places to fold for each. Hope that helps! I love the flips and need to do an update on them.
Are the flip diapers trim?
Hi, I’ve been checking on your reviews regarding cloth diapers, I see you haven’t tried FB (because of the elastics) and Charlie Banana (which I both own right now), I’m thinking of trying Rumparooz, because of the inner gussets. Have you tried that one as well?
One of the CD reviewer here in YouTube (clothdiaperchannel – Jen) was a great fan of BG and Fuzzi, but when she tried the Rump she said it was the best. Please do have some review on that if you can? I love your reviews.
If you go to sell your best bottoms let me know I love the best bottoms
and I can’t find them used anywhere
First, my BB does the same thing at hips, but no leaks! Love the BB stay dry inserts. But want try BG Flip insert because it’s OS. Does it fill dry when wet? Second, for FB try letting out let elastic and for the back elastic pull out the fleece over the band just make sure insert is tucked in. Hope that helps. My son is 6wks old and 9lbs.
I know you’re busy being a great Mom, but I miss your videos!!!!!!!
Does the flip hold in poop any good?
How long does ur daughter wear the diapers before changing to another diaper for flip and bg?
who can send me some cloth diapers
Honestly, I have never used the Bummis liner. I have had great luck with no staining in my little guy’s diapers using the ImseVimse liners.
also on a bummis bio soft vs imse vimse which one would show less of a stain and stay in its place they both look great just wondering if one would have a little more stain resistance over the other
