There are tons of things that you could use for a “go green” gift basket and it all depends on what your theme is. One of the best ways to give a gift is by making it completely “green.”
Instead of using a basket, why not use a kitchen composter for a “green kitchen” theme. These are great for apartments where you can’t go out to toss out your compost. They usually run between 20 or 30 dollars and would be the main part of the prize. From there, you can fill it with bamboo cooking utensils, organic spices and cooking oils, and an organic cookbook.
Another great gift idea is to have a pampering basket. Fill it with a bunch of organic and “green” skin lotions, shower gels, teas and maybe some Vere’s chocolate.
Lastly, you could give a bookworm themed gift basket with helpful tip books on going “green.” There are tons on the market and they are filled with tips from having a “green” kitchen to having a “green” garden.

How about a variety of items that can be used around the house? I would add some of the main things they highlight now to make your home green.
Rechargeable Batteries (everyone could used batteries), light bulbs (that might sound a little boring), cleaning products, reusable tote, recycled trash bags, and a book on going green…
I would add things that you know for certain are making a difference. Like I said, the light bulbs might sound silly but that is one of the first things you can start with in making your home green. I know so many people that love the idea of going green yet have hardly done anything to contribute.
