When did your baby first start throwing toys and things?

Question by fruitytuttytutty: When did your baby first start throwing toys and things?
And what did you do about it?

My 10 month old has just started doing it and I told him not to do it even though I don’t think he realises what he’s doing.

They do that because thats when they learn that when they throw things, those things they throw come back and aren’t lost. My daughter throws things all the time, she is 10 months also. It is suuppperr annoying, but theres nothing I can do. She’ll stop one day and move on tho the next annoying thing I’m sure. lol… kids I’ll tell ya!!!

He was five months…and now at 7 months he knows exactly what he is doing. He is experimenting with what happens when he throws something new…does it make the same sound? Does it hit quicker or slower? Does mommy pick it up? Does she laugh? Does she scowl? Can I still see it? Etc…it is how they learn. We have a twice rule, mostly to save my back :) He throws it twice, he doesn’t need it anymore. But I try to give him throwable toys and when he pitches his sippy or paci, he gets it back once and then it is mine.
