Do you think toy babies affect how little girls feel about real babies?

Question by Rat Face: Do you think toy babies affect how little girls feel about real babies?
As in would it be more likely for them to want to be mothers, or any other effects you can think of?

I hope they don’t treat dolls as they would treat their own children, because my 7 year old constantly ties hers to a plastic bag and parachutes it from the landing :) x

Unless your child is like… 13.. i wouldn’t leave it hold a real baby. Children before age 11-ish are only self-aware to what they want and what effects them, so they wouldnt pay as much concern to the well-being of a baby. Unless, however, you have been rearing this child to be a conscientious and careful parent since you bought it said dolls.

Maybe, maybe not. My sister loved babies when we were little and would always have one around with her. I on the other hand, really didn’t care for them.
Once we got older, she didn’t care much for children and I was the one babysitting and so on.
Now I have 2 kids and she doesn’t want any lol!

This is a great question and I was just talking about this with my mom a few weeks ago. She said that I should get my 12 month old a doll. I replied that she has tons and tons of stuffed animals, care bears, teddy bears, hello kitty, her lamby, her Daisy duck and seahorse. I mean tons but my mom said she would react differently to a doll than a stuffed animal. I’m not sure if this is true but my mom thinks it’s true. I do have one doll that my grandma sent for her but it poos and pees and those kind just creep me out so I haven’t given it to her. lol

    I believe its vice versa:
toy babies do not affect how little girls feel about real babies, but how little girls feel about real babies affect their play manners with toy babies. I think girls project their feelings on their toys.
