Question by Kayla B: Does anybody know where you can buy baby formula at the cheapest price, whether online or in store?
I only supplement with formula, so my baby only gets about 6-8 ounces of formula a day, but it is still expensive. She is very fussy and the only type of formula that has worked for her is Nestle Good Start Supreme. I was just wondering if anybody had done price comparisons at different stores for this particular formula, and if so, where they found was the cheapest.

Wal mart is probably the cheapest!

I have found Target to be very competitive with formula pricing. But I think it tends ot be different in different areas of the country. I live in the Cincinnati, OH area. Good luck.
CVS has giant can of powder..bright beginnings comparable to enfamil..good start etc.. the can would last you about a month. $18
Walmart is very inexpensive with their formulas. Have you tried call the company and asking for coupons. They just love giving those out. Trust me if you call them and tell them how much your baby loves it they will be more than happy to send you coupons for their products. Hope this helps. I personally would not buy formula online because you can not inspect the cans before you get them.
The big box stores (Target, Walmart) will have the best prices. Online COULD have lower prices, but you lose that in the shipping.
If you think 6-8 oz. of formula a day is expensive, I would tell you to take a careful look at what else you are spending. Because, believe me, that amount of formula is nothing compared to the amount of food and clothing that kid will be eating or wearing in a couple of years.
I’ve found Target to be less expensive than even Walmart…but like the PP said…try getting a hold of Nestle and see about some “free” coupons. Usually they’ll send you out a can or two at no cost or some coupons for free cans!
Walmart is probably one of the best.
I also recommend going to Nestle and asking them to send you some coupons. I did and I get $4.00 off every can. They sent me like 15 coupons! Also sign up for free samples at Nestle…if you are lucky they will send you a sample can (it is about half the size of a regular can) of the same formula you use. I believe you can even request a trial can of the kind you use. Just pretend you are interested in switching to their formula from another brand, and they will gladly send you free stuff.
I use Enfamil and that is what I did. I was also a little rascal and got trial cans sent to all of my friends and family. I ended up with 8 trial cans which works out to about 4 full size cans. Saved me about 100.00.
When my daughter was an infant she had to be on one of the most expensive formulas (Nutramigen.) At that time it was approx $24 for the powder. We found Ebay to be a wonderful place to purchase it cheaper in bulk, 6-12 cans at a time. I was able to purchase it for about $10 cheaper a can. I carefully inspected each can, and obviously discarded any that had broken seals. Since they were available so inexpensive on Ebay I always wondered if the sellers had stolen them from stores.
If you don’t feel comfortable purchasing on Ebay you should consider contacting your peditrician. Mine always gave me several sample size cans and several $5 off coupons to use at retailers, which was helpful.
currently at my walmart they have a twin package. its the walmart brand, it is 2 of the biggest size cans 1020g for 18.97
i live in canada
Costco is cheapest if you’re a Costco member. They have 2 25.7 oz cans of powder for about $20 of their store brand Kirkland. If you’re not a Costco member but you’re a Sam’s Club member then you might check out Member’s Mark (I can’t quote prices). If not a member of either then Walmart’s Parents Choice brand is probably going to be the least expensive.
