Our Graco wireless baby monitor has 7 LEDs between the receiver unit and charging stand. Two indicate charging status (1 on the base and 1 on the unit). Five indicate the level of noise being picked up at the base station (with 1 always being illuminated). The problem is that in our bedroom this thing lights up the room like a christmas tree. The black tape I added does a decent job of reducing the intensity of the LEDs but the whole thing still glows an eerie green due to the translucency of the white plastic housing. These LEDs are useful in daylight situations but this product could certainly use a dimming feature. A simple switch would suffice while a photodiode would be ideal. I’m just sayin’.
